Flowers:

• Bright, sword-shaped bracts in red, orange, yellow, or pink

• True flowers are small and often hidden within the colorful bracts

• Flowering typically happens once in a lifetime, then the plant slowly dies after producing "pups" (new plants)

Care:

• Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid harsh direct sun which can scorch leaves

• Water:

  • Keep the central cup filled with clean, non-chlorinated water

  • Water the soil lightly; allow it to dry out slightly between waterings

• Humidity: Prefers high humidity; misting or a humidity tray can help indoors
