Drainage layer

Drainage layer also known as the false bottom.

Small to medium sized gravel works best for this.

This layer acts as a reservoir to catch all the condensation that runs down the glass and into the soil.

In order for the soil not to sit in water the drainagae layer is 100% required in order to keep the terrarium healthy.

Lay your terrarium drainage layer at least 2cm deep.
